śūnya– Zero point
The artwork is “Meditation” series.
What is a spiritual place of nothingness?
In training the calligraphy, I have been active in keep praying, dedication, performing.
Several times I felt the moment of becoming nothingness.
At the same time, I felt that my greed was growing.
So I learned that Yin and Yang are one.
When yin reaches its peak, it will begin to transform into yang.
I felt it.
So I decided to rethink what meditation is.
About this artwork
空, Japanese say “KUU”, this word is there.
People often think that there is nothing,
The origin is Sanskrit, “śūnya”.
“śūnya” is zero point.
It can be positive or negative, and both.
I expressed the moment with the Japanese Kanji “空”.
